Eilers inks with Cedarville

Surrounded by teammates, coaches and family at the baseball field Monday, senior right handed pitcher and outfielderColton Eilers signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Cedarville University.

Cedarville University is a private Baptist university in Cedarville, Ohio. Its teams compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, which includes Alderson Broaddus, Davis and Elkins, Findlay, Hillsdale, Kentucky Wesleyan, Lake Erie, Malone, Ohio Dominican, Ohio Valleym Tiffin, Trevecca Nazarene, Ursuline, Walsh and associate members Mercyhurst, Seton Hill and Wheeling Jesuit.

According the CU baseball website, coach Mike Manes has been the head baseball coach  since 2008 and is the winningest coach in the program’s history.

“The top seven seasons the Yellow Jackets have ever had in terms of total victories all belong to Manes’ teams to go along with six trips to the NCCAA National Tournament,” the website reads. “CU has averaged 25 victories per season during his tenure and claimed four NCCAA Midwest Region banners.”
