The Smithson Valley Aquatics  team competed in a dual meet last Friday at 3 PM. They were swimming at the NISD 1604 Natatorium, facing O’Connor, Health Careers, and Harlan.

The final scores were: SV-102, O’Connor-33, Health Careers-30 and Harlan-7.

The team won almost every event, and shaved off seconds of their previous times.

The next meet was the Arena Fall Classic, located at the NEISD 1604 Natatorium on October 25th at 2 PM. This was a hard meet, for the Aquatics team faced 22 tough schools, including Reagan and Johnson. The boys got 2nd overall, and the girls got 8th.

Following Friday’s meet, the Rangers had yet another dual meet at Canyon on Saturday, Oct. 26th which started at 9 AM. The meet was cold, at 40 degrees Fahrenheit, freezing the 5 swim teams. The boys got 3rd place overall and the girls got 5th overall.

As the season progresses, we will begin to see how the team evolves and improves.
