Four boys earned all-district basketball honors: Austin Kenwisher and Devante Mount made all-district first team, Owen Woodard made all-district second team and Zayden High was awarded district 26-6A newcomer of the year. 

Five girls earned all-district basketball honors: Gabby Elliott, Trinity Garrett, Anika McGarity and Tanyse Moehrig earned berths on the all-district 26-6A first team selections, Brianna Grell made all-district second team and Garrett was unanimously selected as the district’s unanimous defensive MVP.

Football’s schedule was released this past week. The preseason slate includes home matchups with San Antonio Warren and El Paso Eastwood, and a road contest with San Antonio Madison. Here’s the full schedule and here’s a printable graphic.

Baseball sits at 8-3 after a 4-1 showing at the Comal ISD Tournament. They’ll host the San Antonio Classic this week, then kick off district play against Schertz Clemens (5-6) on Tuesday.

Softball knocked off New Braunfels Canyon, 8-6, in the opening day of district play. They’ll take on East Central (13-6-1) on Tuesday at home.
