Cross country won the majority of the races at the District 27-6A meet Friday.

Girls varsity won district with Amalie Mills and Sara Scott leading the way, while the varsity boys got third place overall. Gilbert Wurn and Garrison Mangan advance to region because they placed in the top 10.

“The girls did well,” head coach Trenton Hall said.”They defended the district championship. The guys did good as well.(It was) a bit disappointing because in a regular season we would have moved on but because of COVID regulations, only two teams could move on.”

Junior varsity girls and boys won both races and secured the district championship with Isaac Oranday leading the boys and Sidney Smith leading the girls.

“The girls are going into regionals with a goal to be in the top three to advance to state,” Hall said. ”Then we have the two guys that are looking to make it to state as well”.
