Seven athletes signed their letters of intent on Wednesday. For a blurb on each player, check out Parker Maroney and Jackson Posey’s breakdown.

Football’s game against Judson was cancelled Monday due to contact tracing at Judson High School. The game will be made up on Dec. 4. In the meantime, they’ll prepare for next week’s matchup with East Central.

The girls’ cross country team competed at Region yesterday morning in Corpus Christi. The team placed second overall, qualifying them for the State meet in Round Rock on November 24. Senior Amalie Mills, who signed to run at the United States Air Force Academy this morning, was the Region 4 champion, and senior Sara Scott, who signed to run at Tulsa University, placed third.

The volleyball team defeated East Central last Friday, clinching their title as district champions. They went on to crush Steele last night, finishing the season with a 14-0 district record.

Girls’ basketball lost their opening game to Stevens on Friday, 49-22. They were slated to play their home opener against San Marcos Tuesday, but the entire Rattler basketball team was forced into a 14-day quarantine. They’ll host LEE on Friday.
