Gold All-Stars shine
Three local players represent at Alamodome showcase

Three Ranger football players played in Saturday’s San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game in the Alamodome.
Tight end Dylan Domel, offensive lineman Nick Freeman and defensive back Malachi Lane competed for the Team Gold, which won 18-9 over Team Black.

The All-Star game, sponsored by San Antonio Sports and HEB, took place after the All-American Bowl, which featured more than 100 of the nation’s best players. The 112 area players representing 62 San Antonio schools are nominated by their coaches and picked by selection committee of broadcasters, journalists and former coaches.
The San Antonio Express News also this weekend named Lane a Defensive Player of the Year finalist for the 2021 season.
