Boys basketball lost to Judson (4-2, 15-8) on Friday, 69-61, despite Zayden High’s 24 points and 19 rebounds. But they bounced back on Tuesday with a 70-63 win over East Central (3-3, 13-12). The Rangers currently sit tied for fourth place ahead of Friday’s matchup with Steele.

Girls basketball lost to East Central (15-13, 1-7) on Tuesday, 50-48, to drop to 3-5 in district play and 9-18 overall. Mia Perez (15 points, 5 steals) and Gabby Elliott (13 points, 13 rebounds) led the way in the loss. They’ll look to get back on track on Friday against Steele (17-11, 6-2).

Girls soccer went undefeated at the Grizzly Classic in Leander last weekend, beating North Crowley (9-0), Leander (3-0) and Cedar Ridge (3-0). They will play Westlake at home this Friday, Jan. 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Boys soccer also went undefeated in their Ranger Classic, beating San Marcos (4-1), Tivy (5-1) and Garland Rowlett (4-0). With a 7-0 win over Central Catholic last night, they will play Lake Travis at home this Friday at 7 p.m. 

Swimming will be competing in the district championship meet on Jan 29, against the 27- 6a district. The top 6 finishers from this meet will advance to the regional championship in February, against schools across San Antonio.
