“The Adam Project, the newest original movie on Netflix, stars Ryan Reynolds as Adam Reed, who crash lands and meets his younger self so they can fight to protect the future.

Shawn Levy, renowned producer, director and actor, directed the movie. He directed big name films and TV shows such as “Real Steel,” “Stranger Things” and the “Night at the Museum” movies. 

The visuals, the soundtrack, the casting – all of it contributed to making this time travel movie something original.

Adam and his younger self behave more like siblings, and their bickering turns into battles of wits and sarcastic one-liners.

The movie has a 68 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.7 rating on IMDB. The reviews are split pretty evenly, with some loving it and others, not so much.

Reynolds’ film resume mostly includes comedies, such as “Free Guy” and “Deadpool.” To see Reynolds play a more serious character was refreshing

This enjoyable and entertaining movie will make you laugh, cry, then laugh some more. One of the better time travel movies, it’s worth watching again and again.
