Theatre celebrates an incredible achievement as they advance to District after securing a spot as one of the top 3 schools at their recent competition. Their outstanding performances and technical expertise earned them well-deserved awards.
The team took first showing the dedication and skill each member brought to the stage. In addition to the team’s overall success, it also received the “School with Outstanding Tech” Award.
Individually, five students were recognized for their incredible performances and talent. Aiden Somers took home the award for Best Technician, showcasing his technical expertise. As for performances, Katelyn Olivares received an Honorable Mention All Star Cast for her portrayal of Frieda, Alyssa Reboulet and Hunter Starr both earned All Star Cast Awards for their performances as Myrtle and Fred, respectively. Lastly, James Berry was named one of the Two Best Performers in the entire competition for his portrayal of Willy.
These awards represent the hard work and collaboration of the entire UIL Theatre team. They now look ahead to the District competition this Saturday at 2 p.m. at Peiper High School, where they’ll be aiming for even greater success.
