Warzecha teacher of the year

Warzecha teacher of the year

Jack Padgett, Staff writer

Junior physics teacher Ms. Warzecha was named teacher of the year. She teaches five sections of regular physics 1 and one section of AP physics 1. For Warzecha, teaching had always been a passion of hers.

“When I was in high school, during the summer I would help out the summer basketball camp and I was into sports but it was really cool to see the kids learn.”

This years teacher selection was slightly different. Teachers would nominate each other for the award and then the teachers would vote for nominees. But included in the process this year was a panel of staff members other than teachers.

“If they were learning how to do a free throw or how to do a jump shot or just learning how to dribble overall but to finally see them get it and see how excited they were, so I knew I wanted to work with kids.”

Warzecha was chosen for her dedication and devotion to teaching and educating her students. She’s eager to help her students learn and grow.

“It wasn’t a choice I made as an alternative path. I think that most teachers choose it because they have a passion.”
