The student council will host the student talent show and showcase over 25 different students and groups tonight at 7 p.m.

The last talent show that the school carried was in 2015 and hosted by the Spanish Club. This time, the student council took over and will reward those who showed most talent in the four different categories of entertainment: comedy, instrumentals, singing and instruments, and of course, just singing

“There was a lot more promotion this year than there was two years ago,”  student council adviser Christopher Helkey said. “Everyone thought that you had to be in Spanish club or sing in Spanish to participate.”

Senior Nina Guyon participates in the event as lead singer in a group with senior Noah Williams, along with juniors James Guyon and Matt Merriman.

“I’m really excited,” she said. “I’ve been singing all my life and playing piano, saxophone, guitar and ukulele since middle school.”

Funds will be going to the student council to plan and host more events in the future. Admission will be $5 per student and $7 for adult.
