As of September 5, Sophomores and Freshmen with driver’s licenses can purchase parking passes for their vehicles.

Before the school year began, underclassmen received news that they could not purchase parking passes. The rule attempted to accommodate the rising number of students to the limited number of parking spots. Due to the construction of the new AG Barn, approximately 200 spots less existed in the Orange student parking lot, according to the new assistant principal Sy Douglass.

After the first week of school, upperclassmen only occupied about 700 spots, so the rule was removed.

“There is 925 parking spots and 225 left,” Douglass said.

Parking passes can be bought at the front office for 20 dollars.
