Stephen King’s IT floats to theaters

With a fear of clowns, voluntarily going to see the new Stephen King’s IT seemed like a dumb thing to do. Expecting to be beyond scared, I was surprised to find myself laughing almost every few minutes. Now directed by Andy Muschietti, the new film differed from the original’s pure seriousness with the comedic relief outweighing the jump scares, making the 2017 movie simply funny with some scary moments.

With the new adaption of the original splitting in two, much like the original did with its two episodes, the new 2017 story of Derry, Maine focuses on the town’s losers club as children and only their childhood.

The entity that feeds off of children and their fears, or It, comes back to the screen 27 years after the original just like it does in Stephen King’s novel.

Two hours and fifteen minute of jokes, a good plot and a creepy clown is in theaters now.
