In order to promote faith among students, on Sept. 27 before school, Coach Lisa Daigle and students will host See You at the Pole, an event that allows students to pray and rejoice with their peers.

Senior Jacob Riggs is one of the students involved in See You at the Pole. Students gather on this day nationwide to pray for their community.

“We pray for our schools, our leaders, our friends, our community, and our nation,” Riggs said. “This is a day that is committed throughout the entire United States where students can stand in global unity in Christ and pray for our generation.”

Daigle chooses student leaders every year to speak and to lead prayer for the students that come.

“This event shows us that we are all one,” Riggs said. “It gives a sense of unity to us not only throughout our school, but throughout the nation.”

About 40 students participated last year. Riggs hopes the crowd expands this year.

“This event kicks off the day in happy and upbeat spirits,” Riggs said. “But also the spirit of thankfulness for such an amazing community and a group of people to worship with.”
