After exchanging my ticket for a wristband, opening my bag to be checked, and filling my camelback at the free water station, my friend and I walked to the right stage to join the crowd. It was the first music festival we’ve attended.

The first day, Saturday, Isabella Rodriguez performed first at 1:50 p.m. followed by Kurt Rockmore, Intre, Bamsworth Belli, J.I.D., Slim Thug, Ugly God, Kali Uchis, Playboi Carti, Carnage, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne closing the festival at 10:45 p.m.

The next day, Sunday, Rayne started the day at 1:10 p.m., next was Lil Yodaa, Izaq Roland, Xavier Omar, Maxo Kream, Trae Tha Truth, Borgore, Khalid, Afrojack, Migos and Future.

The two day festival was awesome. Mala Luna was a great success at Nelson Wolff Stadium this year, and I hope to go every year from now on.

About the Contributors
Laney Rendon, Editor-in-Chief

Yo, I’m Laney and I’m a senior this year. When I’m not putting in hours at Chick-fil-A, or at UIL for journalism, I can probably be found in the media team classroom, eating, writing or even both at the same time. This year, I’m Editor-in-Chief alongside my best friend. I hope you can enjoy the stories and photos we post on the website. (:

Rebecca Covington, Editor-in-Chief

Hi, I’m Rebecca Covington but most people call me Becca or Becks. This year, I’m a senior and co Editor-in-Chief alongside Laney Rendon, one of my favorite people. Other things I do include competing in UIL academics and loving my job as part of childcare staff at my church. I love talking about politics, visiting museums and going to festivals and concerts.

Emma Black, Staff Writer
Hi I’m Emma Black and I’m a junior. I enjoy taking photos, listening to music and writing.
