The junior varsity dance team, the Silverados, is collecting stockings in order to give back to those who don’t have a home this holiday season.

Collecting began the day school started after Thanksgiving break, Nov. 15 and will continue until Dec. 15. The designated collection box is in room A111. Collections can also be taken to any Silverado dancer throughout the day.

This is the first year this donation is taking place. The team is hoping for a good turnout to be able to help those in need.

The stockings should be filled with items such as non-perishable food and drinks, warm clothing (socks, gloves, hat, etc.), hygiene/health items (chapstick, kleenex, cough drops, etc.), or a small gift card to a fast food restaurant.

English teacher Kayle Speaker is available to answer any questions in room A111.

The stocking drive is a wonderful way to give back to the community this holiday season and participation is encouraged!
