O snow close!

Flurries raise hopes for a day off

After six inches of snow fell overnight and a two-hour delay today, the campus turned into a battleground for snowball wars.

Because of the unexpected downpour, students couldn’t help but play in the snow and go to social media urging for school to be cancelled.

Students bargained with superintendent Andrew Kim over Twitter. The school district announced about 8:30 last night school would be delayed by two hours, leading some students to continue to beg for a full snow day.

Once the begging failed, students made the most of having come to school by having snowball fights around campus. Everything finally calmed down until a fire drill during first period brought the entire school outside, which created more chaos.

The snow is starting  to melt as temperatures reached the 40s.
