The winter guard performed at Dripping Springs HS for the WGI Competition on  March 3. According to wgi.org , the guard scored 69.320 for the preliminaries. The guard’s scores have been increasing ever since their first competition this season.  

According to TECA.com , the guard scored 52.750, winning first place at the first competition at Medina Valley HS in January.

On the second competition, the guard scored 54.130 for WGI San Antonio at Canyon HS on February 3. The guard had made several changes such as; having more variety in some parts of the show, adding tosses, adding new parts to the show, and altering counts. 

The guard performed at Wagner HS for TECA   on February 24 and they received a score of 67.360.

The guard’s score is going higher every competition and are 3rd in state as of now. The guard will continue to rehearse for their next competition.

“We will continue to clean and modify the show to get us more points.” guard instructor Samuel Woodfield said.

The winter guard’s next performance will be at Wagner HS for the TECA North Zone Championships. This is a will be a qualification competition for the TECA State Championships.
