After two months of rehearsals, the marching band and color guard is ready for the brand new fall season.

The marching band and color guard performs at football games, parades, the Comal County fair  and marching competitions. This organization typically starts off the season by performing a traditional show at the first few football games.

The traditional show consists of field marching and a performance by the band and color guard to the music, “William Tell.” It also consists of a performance from the dance team.

After the dance team prances off the field when they have finished their routine, the color guard steps onto the field for a performance of their own to the song, “Pretty Fly,” played by the band. The band and guard then runs to an SV formation, ending the show.

However, this year’s first game was different, due to Midland Lee’s marching band not attending the game. Therefore, that gives the Ranger Band a longer halftime performance. So, unexpectedly, the band and color guard performed a portion of their UIL show titled “Experiment 78070.”

The band will perform at the next game this Friday and will have their first competition on Sept. 22.
