German classes dominate the Texas State German competition

German classes competed in the Texas State German competition this past weekend.

They won 3rd place in the large school division. 66 Texan schools participated in the contest.

Individual winners included:

  • Abby Winkler: 1st place Research Paper.
  • Landon Young:  1st place Listening Comprehension
  • Catelyn and Claire Mitchell: 1st place Poster Design
  • Ben Hanscom: 4 top 5 places
  • Mateusz Garstecki: 4 in top 5 places
  • Trent Pannkuk : 2nd place in Sight Reading
  • Nicole Chick: 2nd place in Poetry Memory
  • Bradley Wersterfer: 2nd place Prose Memory
