Tennis sends two to region

The varsity tennis team competed at the Class 6A district tournament this at Clemens. Senior Sophie Bruce and sophomore Rocco Perciavalle qualified for the regional tournament.

Stevens and Young rattled their opponents. The duo finished their Wednesday match, placing third overall in a contested district battle.

“I felt really good this tournament and proud I was able to finish out with my team,” Stevens said.

The varsity tennis squad closed its district individual tournament April 2 and 3 at Clemens High School.

“The coaching staff is very proud of how well they played and how they carried themselves,” head tennis coach James Lalonde said.

Senior Sophie Bruce and sophomore Rocco Perciavalle took second place mixed doubles and advance to the regional tournament in two weeks.
