UIL Academics places high in almost every event

The UIL academic team swept the competition away at the district meet Saturday at Clemens High School.
The cumulative team took first place team awards in journalism, speech, number sense, science, math, spelling, social studies and computer science, holding the top position in every event.
Team members who won third place individual awards or higher will continue on to the regional meet. Individual awards include the following:
