After what felt like an eternity waiting for the album “Views” from Canadian born rapper Drake to drop it was easy for hardcore fans to feel a bit underwhelmed. But through deep lyrics and his usual catchy beats with choruses that will stick in your head for weeks, Drake’s newest album may just be his best.
The album starts off a bit slow with more singing than real rapping from the artist giving it a bit of an R&B feel. As the sound begins to pick up with songs like “U With Me” and “Weston Road Flows” you get more of a taste of the old Drake that so many people have come to love. Drake continues to elevate his album with songs like “Hype”,”Still Here”, and “Pop Style”which can be listened to on any occasion whether it’s for working out or just chilling with your friends. He goes on to cap off the album with radio hits “One Dance” and “Hotline Bling” which will have any listener dancing to the irresistibly catchy beats and chorus.
The album is a story of Drake’s life in his hometown Toronto and his deep love for his roots. Through a excellent mixture of hip hop and R&B beats the album shows the evolution of Drake and his maturity from his first major studio album “Take Care”. Overall the album is exceptional and will have listeners thirsting for more.
