Heading to playoffs

Tonight is the first playoff game of the 2022 season

With last week’s win over Seguin, the Rangers are undefeated district champions for the 2022 season.

“It was one of our team goals set before the season,” head coach Larry Hill said. “To win it in an undefeated fashion made it even more satisfying.”

Tonight, Friday Night Lights continue at Ranger Stadium. The team will take on Cedar Park at 7 p.m.

“The cooler weather has put a lot of bounce in our step…it feels like fall and fall feels like football weather,” Hill said

Cedar Park is 4th in their district and has an overall record of 4-6.

“Their schemes and systems are very well thought out and they have a proud tradition of success,” Hill said. Cedar Park played Georgetown last week and had a loss of 14-41.

For those who can’t attend, the game will be live streamed on Rangers Network. UIL passes do not work for playoff games, and tickets must be purchased.
