Volleyball takes down Knights

Volleyball defeated the Steele Knights 3-1 on Tuesday, improving its record to 21-12 overall and 6-2 in district and taking place in the district .
In the second time the two teams faced off, Rangers winning both matches convincingly. In the first district game of the season, Rangers swept the Knights 3-0. This game continued Steele’s struggling season with its fifth loss in district
The Rangers won 25-20 before dropping the second set 23-25. The team bounced back and closed the game, winning the next two sets 25-20 and 25-23.
Standout players included sophomore Tanyse Moehrig, who led in kills with 13; senior Lauren Kadilis, leading in assists with 23; and senior Gabi Sandoval leading in digs with 26.
The Rangers will face San Antonio East Central Friday and look to win the season series as they swept their last meeting 3-0. East Central currently has a 1-7 record in district and is coming off a 0-3 loss to Schertz Clemens.
