Football ripped and clawed through the Canyon Cougars resulting in a 35-3 victory at Ranger Stadium on Oct. 21. The team dominated the Cougars in the 1st quarter of play with three unanswered touchdowns, including a 23 yard passing touchdown from senior quarterback Josh Adkins to senior wide receiver Josh Dillon. Canyon went on to score a 26 yard field goal to start off the 2nd quarter, but the team struck back with a jaw dropping, 102 yard kickoff return touchdown from junior cornerback Trevon Moehrig-Woodard. The team’s defense manhandled Canyon, causing sacks, hurries, and interceptions on the young Canyon sophomore quarterback. The team finally put the Cougars out of their misery with a 35-3 victory.

Quarterback Josh Adkins led the team with 113 yards passing yards and 1 touchdown, along with sophomore running back Nick Akin leading the team with 50 yards rushing on 8 carries.

The team plays Judson next at home on Senior Night this Friday at 7:30 p.m.
