Cash If nothing else cold hard cash is always a great gift. People often underestimate how excited people can get when they receive cash as a present. The great benefit to giving someone cash is that they then have the flexibility to get what they want.

Games Board games and card games make fun gifts, because they can be played with friends or by themselves. Card games also are small and portable so they can be taken to and from school easily. Uno or a normal deck of cards are common fun games that can be used over and over again.

Candy It is practically impossible to find a highschooler that doesn’t have a sweet tooth for some kind of candy or treat. This gift idea is especially easy because tons of different kinds of candy can be purchased at any store. It is best to know the friends favorite kind of candy, but if you don’t know Hershey's, Skittles, and Sour Patch Kids are common favorites.

School Supplies School supplies may seem like a boring gift, but they are something that everyone needs. Especially this time of year when students’ notebooks begin to fill, folders rip and students transfer classes. To make this a more personal gift the supplies could be the friends favorite color or thier favorite brand.

Headphones Whether your friend lost them or broke them people are always in need of a new pair of headphones. When buying someone headphones it is important to make sure that they are compatible with the friends device. Iphones 7 and higher require headphones that can connect through the charger, while Iphones 6S+ and lower have the standard 3.5 mm audio jack. Samsung Galaxies all still use the 3.5 mm audio jack as well.

Gift cards Gift cards a more personal way of giving a person a cash present. The best kind of gift cards for High schoolers are fast food cards, Itunes, or Visa. Gift cards give great flexibility to the receiver of the gift to get whatever they want. It is important however to make sure that the receiver will like the brand the card is for.

Fun clothes Everyone has a favorite franchise or brand that they would happily wear wherever they go. You would want to already know your friends size to prevent that awkward moment when the fiend has to return it because it was the wrong size. Also, it may be harder to track down clothing from a more obscure franchise or band. Tee shirts are often the easiest kinds of cloths to find.
