April 25, 2019
Want to be a part of the school’s marching band but you DON’T play an instrument?
The color guard will be holding a mini flag camp where you can get a head start on the fundamentals and try out routines. Or to just try it out to see if this is an activity you want to be a part of. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
You DO NOT have to play an instrument to be in the school’s color guard.
Color guard/ Winter guard is a great way for students to earn both a PE and a fine arts credit towards graduation credits.
Mini flag camp dates are April 25 and May 16 starting at 4:30 pm to 6pm. Please dress to workout shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes or jazz shoes if you have them. Mini flag clinics are for students who want to get a head start on learning flag fundamental skills and to see if you are interested in color guard.
Mini flag camp and try-outs will be held in the school’s band hall.
The guard will teach everything that is required for tryouts.
Audition week will be May 20-24 from 4:30 to 6pm with the actual audition on Saturday May 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
