The blasting band, carnival music and fresh smell of cooked barbeque means it’s time for the Comal County Fair.

The parade is on Friday, but the fair will officially end on Sunday. Admission to the parade is free and the parade will march down Seguin Street starting in front of the post office and ending at Landa Park Dr. Sunny skies or rain, the parade will start at 10 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m.

Admission into the rest of the fair is free every day, and the grounds will open at 10 a.m. Carnival armbands are $30 per person, and thrill seekers must arrive from 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.

The rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. and Friday admission will cost $13 per person, and Saturday and Sunday admission will be $15.00 per person. For entertainment Friday, local high school bands will perform from 1 to 4 p.m.. Rick Trevino with opener Monte Good will play from 6:30 p.m. all the way to midnight.
