Volleyball Season In Review

Tim Tschoepe, Sports Editor

The volleyball season ended in a 3-0 loss to New Braunfels Tuesday night, but we got to witness the bright future of the lady Rangers volleyball. The season has been full of ups and downs for the Lady Rangers. The team started the year in first place, but saw it slip away within the last few weeks of the season. Throughout the three months of Valley volleyball, we got to witness the rise of juniors Austin Burrell and  Esther Duglas as forces to be reckoned with come next season.

Not to mention the return of starters Naomi Ortiz and Bekah Williams, who took leaps and bounds to improve their game this season. Plenty of other new faces appeared on varsity this season as well, including Hailey Hays, Shaylan Wright, Bella Kerr, Jaci Mesa, and Alexa Pyle. The young guns will look to make a big impact next year coming off a full season at the varsity level.

Despite the highs and lows on the court, the friendships they have built off it with each other will last a lifetime.
