What you see is actually what you’ll get

Country singer releases sophomore effort

Tim Tschoepe

Luke Combs “What You See Is What You Get” album came out back on November 8th with the first 5 songs on the CD being the five he released on his EP, “The Prequel.” The record has 17 total songs on it which include a partially acoustic song as well.  The first song on his album is “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” a song that reached number one on the charts and a second song, “Even Though I’m Leaving” is climbing the charts as well. Luke Combs hid the release date of his sophomore album in his “Beer Never Broke My Heart” music video and only one fan was able to find it. Combs commented on it saying “I hid the album’s release date in this video, and the only person who noticed it was @LukeCombsUpdate … She’s good!”. On the new album Luke Combs has collaborations with both Eric Church and Brooks and Dunn. The Brooks and Dunn song was written as a throwback to the nineties country Combs grew up listening to as a kid.  Eric Church one was written as all the small things in life that some people find meaningless but have a special place in your heart. Combs will be performing at the AT@T Center this Saturday and will start his “What You See Is What You Get” tour which will feature performances by Ashley McBride in 2020.
