Cross country participated in the Champion Invitational on Sept. 18. The varsity boys placed first, destroying the other teams at Cibolo Creek Elementary. Schaefer Robertson placed second, and Josh Smith placed fifth. The team will compete at the Lake Highlands Invitational on Sept. 25.

Football (4-0, 1-0) beat Wagner on Friday, 42-14, to remain undefeated. Malachi Lane led the way, with a 61-yard rushing touchdown, a 40-yard fumble-recovery touchdown and a blocked punt. The Rangers will travel to New Braunfels, another undefeated team, on Thursday.

Swim starts its season on Saturday at the UIL Pentathlon at Northeast ISD Natatorium. Warm-ups start at 8:30 a.m and the meet starting at 10 a.m. This will be their biggest meet of the season until championships, with more than 20 schools from the San Antonio region competing.

Tennis played at Judson on Sept. 21, winning 10-1. They play again at Steele on Friday.
