The softball team opened its best two-of-three playoff series against Reagan on April 27 with a tough 9-6 loss.

Both teams’ bats started hot, but by the end of the 2nd inning Reagan had a 6-3 lead. Going into the bottom of the seventh inning Reagan held a five run lead. The team brought in two runs in the last inning but it was not enough to overcome the lead.

Game 2 of the series is at 7:00p.m. on Friday April 29 at the NEISD Softball Complex. The team needs a win on Friday to keep their playoff hopes alive.
