Harry Styles announced his album with no lead up. Kind of.

Somehow, an unnamed Target worker released the date and title of Styles’ third album (which was unannounced at the time).

When I saw the rumor about Styles releasing “Harry’s House,” I really didn’t believe it was true. Often the fandom gets excited over the suspected release of a single that does not exist.

Styles was seen a few months ago filming a music video, lying in a bed in the middle of the street. I was under the impression this was a music video for his second studio album, “Fine Line.” Instead, it’s likely to be the music video for his first single release for “Harry’s House.”

He announced the album on March 23, breaking the news with cover art of him standing in an upside down room as he is right side up.

Styles released his first, self-titled album in 2017, his next album Fine Line in 2019, and “Harry’s House” is expected to release this year, averaging about two years between each of his albums.

Styles releases his lead single from the album Friday titled “As It Was.”

The six-second long clip of “As It Was” seems to fall back to his debut album, with the same classic rock ‘n’ roll vibe compared to “Fine Line,” which was more pop rock.

I am terribly afraid the album is going to be horrible. I have absolutely no reason to believe this. I’m expecting another song named after a fruit, as his debut album has a song titled “Kiwi,” and the “Fine Line” album has two songs paying homage to fruits, “Cherry” and Grammy-winning song “Watermelon Sugar.” But, I put my faith in Styles as he has never disappointed me in his music before.
