Parade, food and carnival await for day off Friday

The 129th Comal County Fair is under way, and schools are out Friday so the entire county can enjoy the parade and other events
The parade takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in downtown New Braunfels .
The fairgrounds are open with free admission Sept. 25. All other day tickets are $10 for adults (12 & up) and $5 for children (6-11 yrs).
On Friday, all school age students get free admission until 6 p.m. While student IDs are not required, they are recommended just in case.
Fairground Times:
Friday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m.-12 a.m.
Sunday 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
Handicap parking will be located off Common Street.
Active duty military get in for $5 on Saturday with proof or identification.
