Bingo, paper shredding for the school, building ramps for elderly and taking tickets for the police department are just a few things the Key Club does to give back to the community.

The Key Club, much like the National Honor Society, is composed of students who perform community service acts.

Although the Key Club has nothing to do with an actual key, it does have a deeper meaning. The club tries to be  the “key to society” or “the key to make the world a better place.”

This club holds many scholarship opportunities. Members of this club, have service hours that need to be completed to get full credit and a service cord when they graduate.

The next meeting is going to be held on Dec. 6 at 8:30 a.m. in Room A211 and at 4:30 p.m. in Room A204.

Anyone can join this club. More Information and sign up options are posted next to the doors of Debbie Shewbridge and Carol Speelman in upper A wing.

This club already holds around 50 members and is always welcoming more.

“It’s got kids doing good things,” Speelman said. “We hope to see people.”
