Production only does musicals every other year and a lot goes into them, from sets to sound to lights, musicals are a lot of work.

The cast of 40 plus people and crew will take the stage four times with this high energy show.  The show stars senior Emma Derr playing the role of “Elle Woods”, Derr has been in Production for four years and was one of the leads in last year’s UIL show “The Castle”.

“I’d say I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. Not only am I the lead for a show, but it’s one of my favorite shows of all time,” Derr said. “Not everyone gets to live out something they’ve always wanted and I am beyond grateful I was given this opportunity.”

This show has been in the making for about two months, overlapping with their fall production of “ Our Town”, but now the show is ready to be seen.

“ There are so many things that make this show special,” Derr said. “ but I think the stage pictures and choreography will catch everyone’s eye. Everyone going full out in their dances makes the show so incredibly entertaining.”
