Boys Basketball

Boys basketball took down canyon on Monday and beat Pieper yesterday. They will play again on Friday at 6:30 and will have their last game on Tuesday. 

Girls Basketball

Girls Basketball wiped out Pieper yesterday. This was their last game. They will not continue on into the playoffs. They finished with a record of 12-21 (4-8 for district

Girls soccer

Girls soccer beat Seguin 9-0 and Wagner 7-0 last week during the power outages, and beat Veteran Memorial 9-0 last night as well. They will face a tough match against Canyon this Friday at 7:15 p.m. in Ranger Stadium. 

Malia Thalman signed to play Division I soccer at Texas State University in San Marcos. 

Boys soccer

The boys beat Seguin 4-0 and Wagner 3-0 last week with a 5-0 win over Veterans Memorial last night. Last night’s goals were scored by Jax Adkins (3), JD Worley and Noah Navarro. 

Boys soccer also had two signers on national signing day–Colin Elliott committed to Gordon College and JD Worley signed to UDA Soccer Academy.  

Swim

Girls placed first at district in the 200 yard medley relay. Boys also placed first in the 200 yard medley relay. In the boys 200 yard freestyle Parker Maroney placed first. In the boys 200 yard IM Colin Doyle placed first. 

In the Girls 400 yard freestyle relay the girls placed first as well as the boys in the 400 yard freestyle relay. Both girls and boys placed first in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Catherine Frankson placed first in the 100 yard backstroke and in the boys 100 backstroke Konner Schneider placed first. 

Maddox Green placed first in the boys 100 yard freestyle. Vanessa Weatherford placed first in the 50 yard freestyle. In the boys 50 yard freestyle Maddox Green placed first. Catherine Frankson placed first in the 100 yard butterfly. In the boys 100 yard butterfly Colin Doyle placed first. In the girls 100 yard freestyle Vanessa Weatherford placed first. Overall both girls and boys placed first in district. 

Bass fishing

Bass Fishing team took first place at choke canyon. 

Golf

Sayers Allen took first and Maddie Lawless took second at the hidden falls golf club. Girls as a team took first place as well. Aiden Page made the all tournament team. Maddie Lawless had a hole in one on Febuary 3rd. 

Wrestling

Boys wrestling went district champs at last weekend’s meet. Girls were runner ups. Jackson Bolt placed 6th in the 190 weight group and in the 280 weight group Aiden Keck placed 6th. The top five placers in each classification will advance to the State Tournament in two weeks.
