Record-breaking performances await track fans at the 2023 Ranger Relays this Saturday, March 4.

The girls 4×200 meter relay – Jacquelyn Rolle, Favour Uduji, Jatorie Mobley and Alyssa Jones – just broke their own school record on Feb. 25 at the Bastrop Relays, while junior AJ Breault crept closer to the record in the 400 meter dash.

Junior Jazmyn Singh, who anchored the first-place girls 4X400 m relay and placed first in the 400 m at Bastrop, looks forward to continued improvement.

“My goal for this upcoming meet is to run a 56 in the 400 meters and a 24 in the 200 meters and just do my best overall,” Singh said. “I believe this track season I will get closer to my goal of getting a scholarship as I work hard towards making it to state and running new PRs.”

Singh is an All-American runner who is destined for success.

Sophomore Alyssa Jones has broken multiple school records already. She placed first in the 200 M dash and first in the 4×4 at Bastrop.

“I think my goal is to break the record in the 100 again and get a good long jump,” Jones said.

Jones is also an All-American runner and member of the 4×200 m relay.

“I think track season is going to open up a lot of offers from colleges and just opportunities to get better,” she said.
