There will be an Academic UIL meeting today at 6 p.m. in the library.
Events in UIL include science, social studies, literary criticism, spelling, math, number sense, computer science, journalism, debate and oral interpretation.
Last year the journalism, speech, spelling, number sense, math, computer science, science and social studies teams won first place at districts. Twenty five students advanced to regionals. In state, the journalism team placed third overall and 11 students went to the meet.
