Football
Football advances to the second round of playoffs after a 41-25 win over Georgetown Friday at Ranger Stadium.
Offensively the Rangers moved the ball. Senior Jackson Duffy had three receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns; senior Freddie Dubose had six receptions for 41 yards; and senior Ryland Walker was 12/18 on passes with 189 yards, one interception and two touchdowns
The team scored mostly on the ground. Junior Cade Spradling had 12 rushes with 80 yards and 1 touchdown; junior Brad Sowersby had 15 rushes and 68 yards; junior Daniel DeHoyos had 6 rushes, 47 yards and 1 touchdown; and Walker had 1 rushing touchdown with 3 rushes and 6 yards
Kicking the ball, senior Clayton Amaya had 4 extra points and 2 field goals ,going 6/6 on field goal attempts.
Defensively the Rangers held Georgetown to 114 rushing yards but gave up 309 passing yards. They did well against the run but weren’t able to fully defend the pass led by Noah Booras. Although they gave up passing yards, they were able to take the ball away with an interception by junior safety Parker Moeller in the back of the end zone after a failed fake field goal attempt by Georgetown.

Basketball
The girl’s basketball team lost a close match against Burnet 40-42. Their next games will be in the SWISD Tournament Thursday-Saturday.
Thursday’s schedule- 12 p.m. against Laredo Johnson + 3 p.m. against Holmes
Friday’s schedule- 10:30 a.m. against Marshall
Depending on how they do Thursday and Friday will determine Saturday’s games.
The boy’s basketball team won 71-64 against San Marcos Tuesday. Senior Jake Goode led the team in scoring with 33 points followed by Senior Gavin Londre with 12. They play again on Friday against Schertz Clemens at 7 p.m.
Wrestling
Girls wrestling competed in the Lady Knights tournament this past week. Sierra Rieschick placed 1st (5-0), Alexis Avalos placed 2nd (3-1), Svala Starcher placed 3rd (5-1) along with Lucie Puytorac (4-1), Avery Green(3-2), and Ally Alaniz (2-1). The team placed third overall achieving 131 points.
