The varsity baseball team had tough time at the Border Olympics tournament this weekend coming away with a 2-3 record. The team opened up the tournament on Thursday defeating Laredo United 3-2 before defeating Donna North handedly by a score of 18-3.

In the team’s next game against Corpus Christi Flour Bluff they were defeated 6-7 in a tight contest and were not able to rebound from their loss falling to Edinburg North in their next game 5-7.

The team’s final game of the tournament handed them their final loss of the tournament as Corpus Christi Moody took the win by a score of 7-4. It was a tough outing for the team who had high expectations entering the tournament considering they had won it the year before.

The team’s next tournament comes this Thursday through Saturday at Smithson Valley.
