Kaitlyn Ecoff accepts Prudential Spirit of Community Award for her local charity work
May 3, 2017
From non-profit art shows as a kid, to clothes donation groups in high school, now senior Kaitlyn Ecoff was recognized for her volunteer work, when she received the Prudential Spirit of Community Award in the auditorium, Friday, April 28.
With her parents and brother in the audience, Ecoff was given her nationally recognized Medal by Ronald Swanson and Jose Perez. Her parents knew she would grow up to be the giving adult she is today. Her mother and father always knew she could do it, saying “she was always a giving child.”
“I’m excited about the award,” said Ecoff “I want to go to med school and and after that I want to have a non-profit hospital in a third world country.” This award is just another step in Ecoff’s path for helping others.
For Ecoff this award was a lifetime in the making, but nowhere near the end of a lifetime of work.
