The girls varsity volleyball team suffered its first district loss against Clemens on Tuesday at home 3-1, breaking the team’s six game winning streak.

“I thought we played well,” Head Coach courtney Patton said, “Clemens is nationally ranked and a very good team but we could’ve played more consistent.”

Clemens have had an outstanding season so far this year with a 31-3 record and an remaning undefeated in district while also adding to their now 22 game winning streak.

“Clemens have some very explosive hitters,” Patton said, “ They had a well worked  system which allowed their offense to dictate the game.”

The Rangers came into the match strong winning the first game 25-21 but then lost the following three games 19-25, 16-25, and 20-25.

The team will try to come back from the loss at home on Friday at 7:00 against New Braunfels Canyon who shares the same 3-1 district record as the Rangers. The teams will face off for the first time this season and both of their losses have come against Clemens.
