Shopping malls shutting down due to online purchases
January 24, 2018
We all know that technology is currently taking over. People are often purchasing items online from websites such as Amazon and Ebay. The public thinks that with this happening, there is no need to go to the store and shop on your feet.
Stores in shopping malls such as Macy’s, JCPenney and Kmart are shutting down due to people shopping online. Companies are going out of business.
According to Selz, a company for online business creators, “80% of the online population has purchased something using the internet.”
Rather than going to the store and waiting in line, online shopping is convenient because it can save much time and money. Often, online prices are lower and there are customization options online as well.
However, let’s say you purchase a clothing item and want to see if it fits okay. Because it was purchased online, there is a chance the clothes do not fit correctly.
It is strange to think that, eventually, most shopping malls will vanished because of all the online shopping. Overall, it may be said that shopping malls and stores are closing because of the global use of online shopping.
