After 54 years, Disney has decided to release a sequel of the critically acclaimed film Mary Poppins. The film stars Emily Blunt as the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Nanny Mary Poppins as she returns to the Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks; Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks; and Julie Walters as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen.

The trailer was relatively light on details as it show the children of the original Banks played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and Joel Dawson flying a kite with their parents. This shows how the story will focus on both the parents and children as Mary Poppins is sure to delight them both.

The movie also appears to be targeted for both young and old audiences as Mary Poppins interacts with both the parents and the kids in the trailer. While the trailer doesn’t have a release date it is likely that the film will be released in late 2018 or in 2019.
