The girls soccer team will continue their season in the playoffs starting Thursday at home against San Antonio O’Connor.

The Rangers had a solid regular season, finishing with a 14-4-4 record (9-3-2 in district). However, the team will be without some of their top players as they will be missing leader in goals and assists senior Kaitlyn Bumgarner as well as some other key players.

The team exited the playoffs last year with a second round 5-1 loss to San Antonio Reagan.

Their opponent San Antonio O’Connor has had a good season as well as it finished the year with a record of 16-3-4 (14-3-1 in district).

Some key players to watch for in the game include junior Katerina Clukey, who has scored a team high 23 goals, as well as senior Leslie Rosas, who scored 14 goals while assisting on 10 for O’Connor this season.

The game is set to take place on Thursday at 7pm at Ranger Stadium. This will be the two teams’ first meeting of the year.
