The Silver Spurs dance team and booster club invited the students, staff, and community to the Silver Spur Spectacular on Saturday, May 7, at 5:30 pm in the school’s varsity gym.

The Spurs performed all of their competition routines, an opener, elite team dances, officer routines, senior solos, a senior class dance, a social officer routine, a pep rally hip hop, and the traditional last dance.

Other featured performers were the Valley Girls JV dance team, Smithson Valley Middle School dance team, Spring Branch Middle School dance team, Inspire dance studio, Diamond Dance Academy, the Ballroom Club, and the Spurs with their special guests.

The Spurs host their Spring Show at the end of each year to showcase all the dances they learned.

For the seniors, the night was about much more than just dancing. Each senior had the opportunity to do a senior solo with a mini, pre-recorded speech to thank the important people in their lives.

“It’s definitely going to be an emotional night full of feelings of gratefulness and sadness,” senior Kaylee Palumbo said.  “It’s truly a blessing to be apart of something so great, so it’ll be a night for some tears.”
