For traditional food

Grayson Cook, Staff Writer

Turkey, mashed potatoes, ham–these beloved dishes that Americans have grown up with when having annual Thanksgiving dinners is a big reason why this holiday is loved so much.

Some people want to break tradition by eating other types of food during their thanksgiving feast. However, it’s better to value the traditional values of the holiday meal.

These meals, which commonly consist of turkey, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole, which are the most traditional, and most popular foods, are eaten by hundreds during this time of the year. People love chowing down on a turkey leg, or digging into a plate of mashed potatoes.

These foods, which have been on our Thanksgiving tables for centuries, bring a smile on everyone’s faces as they sit down at their table.

Many people enjoy eating turkey and drinking apple ciders with their families. Some people say that it’s the food that makes Thanksgiving such a special holiday, and why they enjoy it so much. It’s also a way for people to hone their cooking skills.

Because there is a familial and traditional aspect to customary Thanksgiving dishes, people should stick to serving them when enjoying the holiday.
