Crumbl Cookie is overrated.

The way this place is talked about, you would think they cured cancer or made the most heavenly cookies known to man.

But it’s a lie.

The cookies are bland and too dense. The amount of icing on some of them should be illegal.

It wouldn’t be as bad if they were at least trying to be creative, but the majority of their flavors are just reinvented versions of the same cookie. Their “flavors of the week” are no different from each other than Oreos are to “double-stuffed” Oreos.

Other bakeries offer more selection and better product that’s probably cheaper, but for some reason, people gravitate toward the dough balls they like to call “cookies.”

People could buy from a small bakery, support small businesses and get something that is actually worth the money, instead of going to this franchise selling flavorless calories.

The company was started by, as they like to call themselves, “Two crazy cousins”, Jason McGowan and Sawyer Helmsley. The history of it is really sweet, no pun intended, I really love the fact that they’re family and wanted to build this together.

When they try to make new flavors, they really go all out, from maple bacon to cornbread. They have experimented with some pretty unique ingredients.

Despite the genuine story of Crumbl Cookies, the flavors lack originality and flair. There are much better options for a much better price.
